The official opening, 8 April


The official opening of these European Badminton Championships took place in the afternoon, 8 April.
Between the second and third session of the first round of Team matches.

Conferencier, Alex Nelissen, took the floor and guided everybody through the event!

	Alex Nelissen.....
...has a good talent for presentation so it makes 'sense'. Here he points towards the Citroen Traction, 1933, symbolising that NBB and this old car is from the same lifetime. More about that later!!!
	From the same lifetime was also this man.... close to his 75th birthday.. He still plays badminton 2-3 times a week! "I still have my good health", he said...."
...that certainly entitled him to the bottle of wine, especially made in connection with the 75th anniversary of the NBB!
	After that, the official speeches was given! Here the President of the Dutch Association, Jos Nouwt.
Jos then gave the floor to the President of the EBU - European Badminton Union - Tom Bacher, who officially opened these CHampionships!
	After the official opening, Grandmother-b got everybody started by performing some well known songs , supplied with a good stage show! Enjoy these photos!
